Sweet, tart, and just the right about of tequila. A bold and refreshing twist on a classic marg, this slushie is your go-to for beating the heat with a buzz. Blueberries bring the sweet, lime adds the tang, and tequila does the rest. Think margarita but make it chill.

Serves 4

2 cups frozen blueberries

1/3 cup tequila, such as don julio

2 tablespoons cup fresh lime juice (from about 2 limes)

1 tablespoon orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)

1/4 cup agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1½ cups ice

Optional: lime zest or Tajín for garnish

Instructions:

1.             In a blender, combine frozen blueberries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, agave, and ice.

2.             Blend until smooth and slushie-like. Add more ice if you want it thicker.

3.             Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

4.             Rim your glass with lime juice + salt or Tajín, if you're feeling fancy.

5.             Pour, garnish with a lime wheel or a few extra berries, and sip your way to summer.

Pro tip: Batch it up for a party and keep it cold in the freezer—just give it a stir before serving.
